Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you book through one of them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

How affiliate links work here

Japan, One Step Further may earn a commission when a reader books an experience through selected booking links, including links to Viator. A commission does not increase the price you pay.

Affiliate links do not decide our recommendations

We do not limit our editorial recommendations to products that pay a commission. When a free, official or direct-booking option is useful, we aim to say so. For example, a free viewing option may be mentioned alongside a paid guided tour when both are relevant.

How we mark commercial links

Pages containing affiliate booking links will include a clear disclosure near the relevant booking area. Social posts that directly promote or link to an affiliate booking opportunity will also identify the commercial relationship clearly.

Sponsored or provided experiences

If a business provides an experience, product, accommodation, meal or other benefit for free or at a discount, we will disclose that relationship when we publish content about it. If a sponsor has influenced what must be said or shown, that will be identified separately from independent editorial coverage.
